Well. Sometimes I have things to say. Things that flow into rants or out of poems. Things that don’t fit elsewhere. I spend most of my time trying to write with great economy of language. Here I can sprawl and talk about the aphids eating our basil or some strange longing for the far north. I don’t have to deliver the punch of a poem—rather, I can meditate and share things I find interesting with the rest of the world.  

I’m about to become a father and I know I will have things to say about that. Maybe this will just be diversion from the other good work at hand, but I don’t think so. I think a space like this can gain it’s own energy and send that into other parts of life.   

I’ll try to be interesting. And I’ll try to post often. “Try” being the key.
