Yes, this rambling refers to my critical thesis. UW's MFA is one of the only programs I know of that requires a substantial critical thesis in addition to a creative thesis. I'm attempting to talk about how Levis and others (Mary Jo Bang, Donald Hall, and many others.) have helped to construct a version of the contemporary elegy manifested in book form. Others tend to be more traditionally centered around the loss of single person, while Levis laments the world altogether. And yet. I don't know what I'm saying. I'll let you know when I find out.

My creative ms. on the other hand is making the rounds at a few contests and maturing as new poems and ideas arrive. Hope you are well.</description>
